Fishing Derby
SALISBURY, MD. The Wicomico County Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism with the Salvation Army Youth Club, The Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and several local business sponsors will hold the Annual Fishing Derby for kids 15 and under. Registration will begin at 8:30am and fishing will start promptly at 9am. Several catch contests will take place throughout the derby. Kids are eligible for "The Biggest Fish," "Youngest Angler," "Most Unusual Catch," etc. Participants should bring their own fishing rod and bait. Ward Museum Smith Island Boat Trip

Kids Fest to Focus on Family Fun
HARRINGTON, DE. The State Fairgrounds in Harrington, Delaware will be the center of family fun when the 12th Annual Kids’ Fest opens on Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. From then until 4 p.m., the day will be filled with exciting activities. There will be inflatable rides, carnival games, crafts, equine activities and free entertainment. In addition, the mix will include education and information offered by social service agencies and community organizations serving children and families. The Fairgrounds that day will also be the site of a Quarter Horse show and a display of antique tractors, both of them open to spectators free of charge. The whole day is planned to be affordable for families. Admission to the fairgrounds is free for kids; adults pay just $3. Plenty of free parking is available. Ride and game tickets may be purchased at 25 for $5. Proceeds from the event benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. Knockout Show Slated for the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center
An Eastern Shore favorite is scheduled to make his return to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. Fernando Guerrero returns to Salisbury to take part in Boxing’s Future Champions on Friday, June 19. Tickets go on sale Monday, May 4 at 10:00am. This is a general public on sale, no code is required to purchase tickets. In his first return to Salisbury since February, Guerrero will take part in a show that is sure to wow the crowds. The show will feature 6 professional fights with Fernando Guerrero as the main event. Guerrero has packed the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center twice before and promises to do it again for this exciting event. Doors open at 7:00 pm with the first fight starting at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $15, $25, $50, $60, $100, or $125 plus applicable fees. Make sure you don’t miss the event of the year and get your tickets early! 60th Annual Delmarva Chicken Festival
CENTREVILLE, MD. The Delmarva Chicken Festival is held in celebration of the chicken industry on the Delmarva Peninsula.
