Jon Buzby -
SportsTalk

Jon Buzby
writes Delmarva Youth's Sports Talk column as well as articles on fathering. He has a unique perspective on youth sports as a father who has raised one son--now a freshman in high school--and has a second child on the way. Jon earned his Master's degree from the University of Delaware and has spent the last twenty years coaching youth sports. He was an elementary physical education teacher before taking his current position as Director of Program Innovations for Special Olympics Delaware.
Jon's focus in teaching and coaching has always been to make every child feel like a positive contributor regardless of skill level. "My goal at the end of every game is for each child to go home with a smile on his/her face, regardless of a win or loss ~ and for parents to reinforce the reason for the smile, not the final score." Jon is married to a high school Spanish teacher and lives in Wilmington. JonBuzby@hotmail.com
