Beach Bounders Gymnastic Studio

Let your kids flip into fitness and fun this summer at Beach Bounders Gymnastics and Athletics Summer Camps! Our camps are open to children ages 3-13. Each day will have gymnastics instruction on each event including Trampoline and our Pit System, along with games, crafts and fun in our fully air-conditioned 15,000 square foot facility!Our camps will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on select weeks. Half Day Camps are available with pick up at 12:00. Prices are $199.00 for our full day camps and $99.00 four our half day camps. We must have a minimum of 6 campers signed up by June 11th, 2010 to hold the camp session. Daily Schedule 9:00-11:00 am – Warm-up, stretch, gymnastics instruction11:00-11:30 am – Active large group indoor games11:30-12:00 pm - Craft time12:00-12:30 – Lunch-Please bring a packed lunch!12:30-1:00 pm – Read-aloud or board games1:00-3:00 pm – Warm-up, gymnastics instruction 3:00-4:00 pm Open gym, pick up.

This year Camp Odyssey @ The Salisbury School is celebrating 20 years of Zaniness! We are excited to offer four different SUPER VALUE PACKAGES to help families afford to send their children to the Lower Shore’s premiere and only independent American Camp Association accredited summer camp. Our offerings include Day Camp, Teen Camp and our specialty Odyssey Academy programs that cover the 4 A’s: Academics, Athletics, Arts and Adventure. Forensics CSI, Chunkin Punkins, Cool Kids Creations and Musical Theater are just a few examples of Odyssey Academy programs. We also provide several field trip opportunities for our teens including a kayak and bike adventure, a trip to Jolly Roger Water Park, Busch Gardens, New York City and Baltimore to see an Orioles game. Crown Skating Center Summer Daycare Skating

Roll on in to the Crown Skating Center for the area’s best in roller skating entertainment.  The Crown Skating Center is a new 22,000 sq. ft. modern roller skating rink featuring a Pro Shop, Snack Bar, live DJ with up to date music, state of the art sound system and a fantastic light show.  Conveniently located in the Crown Sports Center in Fruitland, Maryland, the skating rink is offering daycare and camps a super summer rate.  Skate from 10AM-12PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays for only $5 per person (5 person minimum).  This rate includes skate rental also!  Add ons include the PlaySmart for $2 per person and a $3 Snack Tix for a slice of pizza and a small soda.  You can also add on the Laser Tag, arcade and Fun Field in the sports center.  Advance reservations are required, so please stop by or call. Themed, week long camps available for either a full day or half day option for children between the ages of five and nine years. A special half day mini-camp is available for children three and four years of age. Kindred Spirit Farm LLC is a 63 acre horse farm in Salisbury, MD.  We have developed our own unique programs here that are all educationally based as well as extremely enjoyable. We have an indoor riding ring for year round riding lessons. Our lessons include all styles of riding as well as the many aspects of horse care, communication, and natural horsemanship so that our riders become well rounded balanced equestrians. We have several outdoor riding areas and a room that we utilize for our summer camp programs. We have a petting zoo with sheep, goats, alpaca, ducks, chickens, rabbits, pigs, etc. that is part of many of our camps as well as birthday parties and field trips. We have a 4-H club and we also put on a jousting show with real knights that perform combat jousting and sword fights. Kelly Howard has a BA and MA in Education as well as being licensed for summer camps with the MD Dept. of Mental Health and Hygiene. She has over 20 years riding experience and her riding instructor certification. All of our programs have interwoven her love of animals and children as well as her educational background.

SCS Summer Camp 2010 is an 8 week Christian day camp for children who have completed Pre-K 3 through 6th grade. Campers will grow in their love for Jesus as they share together in age appropriate worship, Bible activities, arts
and crafts, games, sports and outdoor play. Campers will participate in weekly field trips to places of interest in the local area. Swimming at a local pool and a trip to the movies will also be a weekly activities. 2010 themes include Medieval Week, Ocean Week, All-American Week, Wild Wild West Week, Jungle Week, Carnival Week, Pirate Week and Sports Week! Camp activities will begin at 8:30 AM each day with doors opening at 7:30 AM for those who need early morning care. Camp activities will conclude at 3:30 PM with afternoon extended care provided until 5:30 PM. Morning and late afternoon care is included in the camp fees and will not involve any additional charges!

Summer Scholars @ Wor-Wic Community College

Wor-Wic offers summer courses for gifted and talented students. Registration has begun for Summer Scholars at Wor-Wic Community College. For the best selection of classes, parents of gifted and talented children entering fourth through ninth grade should register prior to June 1.  Fifteen new courses are being offered this summer, including “Lego Robotics – Master Your Mission!,” “Make Your First Video Game!,” “So You Want to Be a Rock Star!,”Three, Two, One: Blast Off!” and “Crazy for Clothes: Fashion Design 101.” Other topics include culinary arts, crime scene investigation, green energy, math games, self-expression through art and writing, nursing career exploration, chess, computer animation, digital photography, starting a business, crazy chemistry and weather exploration. The one-week courses are being offered Monday through Friday, beginning July 12. Students can take full- or half-day courses. Full-day courses will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a one-hour lunch. Half-day courses, which are offered from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m., can also be taken back-to-back to create a full-day schedule. Before and after care is available at the college’s on-campus child development center. The courses are designed for public and private school gifted and talented students entering grades four through nine in the fall of 2010. A student’s gifted and talented status is determined by the school they attend, based on the student’s outstanding abilities in the areas of general intellectual capabilities, specific academic aptitudes, or the creative, visual or performing arts.
